This venue is an outstanding accomplishment, both architecturally and culturally. The hall is the crown jewel of the Arts District downtown, and is noted as having some of the finest acoustics in America. It was opened in 1989 and is hallmarked by the Lay Family Organ. I liked the educational program we attended where they introduce each instrument by family and included a guessing game at the end where the audience got to say which group played each piece -woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings. 🎻 🎺 🎷 That was fun for them!
It was simply AMAZING. The choir was WONDERFUL.The acoustics AWESOME, and the conductor made it especially fun for the audience by allowing us to join in the singing. I’m glad we went, and hope to return at the next invitation.
We had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed a great showing of Harry Potter!
A place where we can come together and listen and foster a sense of peace and optimism. We are incredibly lucky to have this performance space and the exception orchestra that resides there.
