Worst surgeon I ever had. Was supposed to be operated on in the morning and finally got me in around 10 at night. He must have been tired, since this was supposed to be a pretty straight forward procedure. Ended up with a spinal leak and had to do self catheterizations. He told me my career was over but did tell me if I did not get better that I could punch him in the head. What real doctor would say that? I was pleased with today's visit. Everything was very thorough and I left with a good understanding of what it coming as I move forward.
I had an extremely successful fusion with Dr Meyer. I reached the point where I couldn't stand up longer than 5 minutes. After the surgery I managed to stop my pain killers after only 3 days. At a month, I started walking 2 miles a day with no pain or complications and at a little over 2 months started doing core exercises on a daily basis. Now after 5 months, I'm better than I've been for years. I'm able to dig up my large vegetable garden by hand and I'm getting ready to play some tennis. My experience with Dr. Meyer and his staff has been nothing short of great. From the first time I met with Dr. Meyer I felt confident that he gave me options I needed to decide whether to undergo surgery on my lumbar. The surgery went very well and as a result I am feeling great only four weeks after surgery. I recommend Dr. Meyer and his staff very highly.
