RecommendedHappy Hr and Margaritas are the best!! Very inexpensive and food is ample and good!! Gone there since early 60’s!!!
Great restaurant, great food and great service. We live in Bellingham I can't get to this restaurant as often as I'd like.
This was our first time here and we were not disappointed! We were greeted with smiles and an enthusiastic staff. You got the feeling that they wanted to be there. Our drinks were perfect and when we ordered, we didn't expect such great food. Oh My! We couldn't have ask for better.
We got to meet a newer server today who was friendly and personable as all the Mexico Cafe employees always are. I tried a new dish, for me, today and was not disappointed. I think its my new fav!! If you expect average food and average service this is not the place for you. Its always superb!
Every one was SO friendly, from the moment we opened the door. Ans the excellent service continued through out our visit....smiles, funny conversation & very efficient. The food was very fresh & delicious. Plus, I loved the family feel - you felt the history!!
LOVE this restaurant! If you are ever anywhere near Mt Vernon, stop in. You won't be disappointed. Everything is super tasty, drinks actually have alcohol in them, service is exceptional and the place is over the top clean! Can't go wrong!
The food was amazing! The drinks were perfectly strong ;) and the service was great :). I was expecting quite a wait with it being Cinco de Mayo, but they were prompt and very friendly. Absolutely love this restaurant ���
Everything! The atmosphere, delicious food, friendly, efficient & helpful waitresses & waiters—the owners ( when they do NOT serve my drink in a Huskie glass!). And Angela’s carrot cake��!!

First time eating there and will be my last. Food is extremely bland and over priced. I ordered a smoothered burrito and they brought me what looked like a smoothered enchrito from taco bell. It was priced 17.50 but I wanted carne asada so they charged an extra 3.00. So 20.50 for a small bland burrito with rice and beans... My wife ordered posole. This is the worst posole me and my wife have ever tasted. Tomato water, salt, and old pork and hominy. Tasted like it was week's old and refrigerated just warmed up. Out of every M... read more

Hi Errick, sorry for your bad experience. We take all reviews serious. We take pride in our food and service. Your burrito is made with our chile verde so I went and checked the chile verde when I saw the review. It tasted good to me but I will admit it is not spicy enough. This is something we have been working on. Our jalapenos haven't been very hot so I have been working with different suppliers trying to get good high quality jalapenos.
