About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

Great authentic German cuisine! Best place in 50 miles.
Always come here to eat when we are in town in Dexter visiting our daughter to watch their dog Ginger while they fly to Montana. We live in Virginia and don’t have a favorite German Restaurant like Metzger’s to enjoy. Their food is always excellent, staff friendly and helpful to recommend new dishes, would highly recommend this restaurant if you love good German food.
The food was wonderful as well as the dessert. The seevice was great!
