RecommendedWe had a wonderful lunch. I had the daily special of rouladen, with sides of German potato salad and their own pickled beets. My husband had a fabulous Reuben sandwich and excellent onion rings. Our waitress was super attentive. COVID 19 cautions were well thought out and effected. We sat indoors, but spacious outdoor seating was also available.
RecommendedThe German food is delicious and authentic. I like that it is casual, and we can stop in anytime. I also enjoy all the cuckoo clocks and steins all around the room. The service is always excellent!

Went there when restaurant was open. Excellent food and service. Now have curbside pick up only. Ordered potato pancakes. Could find no potato in the batter. Ordered sausage called mettwurst. Was smoked sausage like you get at grocery store. $4 for about 4 inches. Very dissapointed.
RecommendedThank you for making our Mother's Day special this year. We normally come to your restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day or Father's Day. This year we enjoyed your delicious German cuisine at my parent's home with a smaller number of family members. The curb side pick up worked out well and my parents are enjoying the left overs. Everyone praised their meals and we look forward to dining with you later this year! ❤❤❤❤❤
RecommendedGrowing up in Dexter, I was raised on Metzger’s. I live in Cleveland now, but Metzger’s is still my favorite restaurant to go back to when I visit. The delicious food, generous portions, and warm hospitality are reminiscent of my experiences in Germany. I can not recommend this place highly enough. There are no wrong choices on the menu, but the potato pancakes are a favorite. Metzger’s will always be my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor.
