About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

Home cooked feel and delicious! Our meal consisted of: chicken livers, onion pie for appetizer, Wiener schnitzel with capers and lemon, vegetable of the day: collard greens, spaetzle, and of course sauerkraut.
The Rouladen was fall apart heaven. Luckily we swung by on a weekend, since it's a bit of a hike, but so happy. It's melt in your mouth deliciousness. The potato salad and red cabbage salad were both wonderful as well. Not to forget, the Apple Strudel. A taste of my childhood, and some of my husband's new favorites (since I introduced them to him). Highly looking forward to the Stöllen he snuck in the bag. But we're going to save it for breakfast.
