Went in in terrible pain and left the next day feeling better......minus one gallbladder. Everything took a little longer than I would have liked but that is the nature of the beast. The ER folks were able to diagnose something that my urgent care folks never picked up on and probably saved my life. Second time that this hospital has saved my life. How could I possibly complain about a bit of a wait. Nurses here are great and caring and the surgeon seems to have done well. Thanks to everyone involved.
Received excellent care in the ER. I live outside the area and was admitted to the hospital. I have been having to negotiate for proper treatment since I was admitted. It’s either the Dr. way or you can leave. Next time I will make the two hour drive home to insure I receive proper care. I urge you not to make the same mistake I did by putting your medical care in the hands of this facility. I learned that at this facility you have no say in your own care. It’s either the Dr. way or the highway.
I called the hospital to inquire about the price for a duplex scan of extremity veins. I gave the representative the CPT code and she gave me a price. But that was not the price you billed the insurance company and it was not the price I was billed after. Of course, the price was higher. I called the billing department, spoke to 1 representative and one supervisor and they could not explain the discrepancy, nor do anything about it. This place is the worst with billing. Totally unreasonable, no discount to people with insurance. Go to Worcester Medical Center instead; much better service and pricing!
