Choice this hospital for my surgery because my surgeon prefers their OR staff and they do not have a lot of staff turn over I must say everyone was very nice but the reason I won’t return is the lack of attention/ nursing care I received when I got to my room That was truly disappointing. I had a thoracic laminectomy done to put in a spinal stimulator. This is why you need someone to stay with you and be your advocate. My white board was not changed so I had no clue who my nurse or pct was when I got to my room. I was nauseated and I had my puke bags left on my table. The medicine I was given was not told to me I had to ask. My pain was not ever under control the time I was there. A whole new level of care than other hospitals. They make you feel very important.
Answer lights faster- 30 mins for someone who needs a bedpan is ridiculous. Found my sister-in-law lying in dried BM and urine 5 days in a row. Asked and asked for hourly checks to offer bedpan were ignored. She now has oozing sores on tailbone and 3 others that are growing day by day because of lack of care. She is dying of cancer and has poor nutrition so they will not heal. She will be buried with bloody sores because they left her lying in stool and urine for hours. Our daughter had TKR surgery on her daddy's 65th birthday. The staff kept wishing him happy birthday, & a group of them sang Happy Birthday & gave him a giant slice of cake. Point being, the staff takes care of not just the patient, but the family as well.
This place is amazing, had surgery here 02/18/20, the staff, surgeon, the anesthesiologist, made me feel welcome, and took very good care of me, if I was to choose a hospital it will be Methodist Southlake/❤️
My wife has just had a hip replacement. This hospital and staff were simply amazing and super efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend this Hospital. our experience was amazing. Thank you for all you have done for my wife. Extremely appreciated. P.S. This picture attached was ac card a friend of ours gave to my wife. Thought you might like the joke and get a laugh out of it.
Nurse Eva and Dr. Edwards were absolutely helpful, compassionate and very caring. I’m usually afraid of hospitals, but they made me feel very comfortable.
