It's sad to say that you can't trust people anymore...I was nervous about the situation at my house because there was no kind of light outside so anyone would be able to jump out and I wouldn't have a clue! Most property managers don't really go the extra mile if they don't have to so I had no idea what to expect from Merritt. Not sure how this company has positive reviews. Tom is sly and a liar. KEEP ALL COMMUNICATION FROM HIM AND EMAIL TO CONFIRM INFORMATION FROM ALL VERBAL EXCHANGES. Triple check all bills and charges upon moving out. He'll charge for the full price of new or better items to replace years old items "accidentally." Sneaky! When I continued to question and ask for proof of the charges I was sent to collections. Do yourself a favor and don't rent from this company!
This is just a great company to rent from! I've been with them a year now and every little thing has been hassle free thus far. Very nice people to work with and they are very professional too. So glad I found a nice home with a property management company to go with it!
Everything that Jessica has said, and more. I'm not sure how Tom has reviews praising his work below, but it would be hard to imagine that he didn't write them up himself.
Our tenants are happy with their ability to take care of maintenance issues fast. They call us back quickly and we're very pleased with their service.
The knowledge and expertise shows that they are qualified to care for someone's house. We have been very happy with the service so far.
Tom Merritt comes off as a really nice guy until he hears something that he does not like. I am currently renting from him and he has been nothing but nasty. He told us that the property we were looking to rent was in a safe neighborhood. One our first two nights there we had helicopters over-head and the police barricaded off our street and searched our backyard.
