Mel's is the only place to get a good . . . no a GREAT dog!! Don't expect to place your order and get your dog before you have time to pay for it. They do it the correct way. Each dog is made to order and FRESH FRESH FRESH! There is a reason this place is a Tampa institution. Best Chicago Dog in Florida. Mel's makes it right every time, each time!
Simply said, there’s none better. Chicago dogs are spot on, cheese fries are messy and delicious, and atmosphere, well it’s Mel’s!
The hot dog was amazing and the fries were the best i have ever had. They were cooked to perfection and lightly salted. I didnt need ketchup for them i loved the way they tasted. I live in mississippi and wish they were there so i could eat there more often
I loved the food. I had the bacon cheese hotdog with the hot peppers. Yummy. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. My mother in law had the Rueben dog and my father in law had the Chicago dog and Mel’s special dog. They said it was yummy too. I recommend this place. Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service.
RecommendedBest hot dogs outside of Chicago. Have been going to Mel's for decades. Mel is an institution. I remember when they had a store in Brandon don't know why it closed other than it was next door to at McDonald's. Come back to Brandon now
One of the BEST dogs I have ever eaten. Fries were delicious as well. Cole slaw was yummy. 2 thumbs up!!
