I've been watching reruns of the show and decided to try the food. My husband had the chicken fried steak skillet and I had the southwest skillet. Both were delicious. We both had a side of pancakes but those fell short. They were a bit stiff and chewy. Overall it was a good experience.
The food and staff were amazing!!! Highly recommend. I know we will definitely be back!
Yesterday I was there... I ordered a mushroom cheese hamburger with fries and 2my surprise I was very impressed, As very few places know how to make a medium rare hamburger. But this place surprised me, it was made 2 perfection... absolutely what I had ordered. Will certainly be coming back to this place, they never disappoint. I eat at Mel's Diner quite a bit due to its proximity to my office period just for clarification purposes this is not where they filmed the television series Mel's Diner. The series was actually filmed on a soundstage in Hollywood. The series script in fact had the setting of this scenario in Tucson Arizona. Looks just like it did in t.v. The Everything omelet, fixed my way, homestyle fries and biscuit was huge! People were really nice!
Best omelet I've ever had in Arizona! Love Love Love it!
