Very good food and Great staff. And will handle a large crowd on a moments notice. South side Pirates great place
First time visiting the restaurant, I ordered the Patty melt on Rye. It was the best I'd ever had.... GREAT! I'll be back very soon.
It was my first time eating there and I enjoyed every minute of it. The food and the service were excellent. Mel's Diner is what every eating establishment should strive to be like.

Great friendly service. HUGE portions. Bring a friend and your appetite. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak omelette.
I had breakfast and lunch there and it was excellent. Friendly staff. I highly recommend you take your family in for breakfast/lunch.
