Very good free birthday steak. Cooked just right, quality meat.
After a long drive in the rain/freezing rain and snow we finally made it to Yakima. We found Mel’s diner and so glad we did. The stafff was friendly and the food was fantastic and very well priced. Great decor inside really felt like an old times soda shop
Tried Mel's for the first time as it was recommended by a friend and we decided this is where we will eat everytime we're in Yakima! We're from the lower valley Sunnyside

The service was great. The steak tasted weird, almost like processed meat. Think it might have been old or freezer burnt. I have always loved their steak tips and eggs, really disappointed this time.
Love the food and the people that work there. Always get a good meal Everytime I go there. Always friendly and helpful.
