Great food, great atmosphere. Mel’s is a solid choice in Yakima.
We were in town for the night and heard Mel’s had meatloaf dinner and how great it was. Was not that great. Tasted kind of like processed meat. The mashed potatoes were instant and brown gravy was from a can or a mix. Garlic toast way too much garlic for my taste. Hubby had western omelet. He liked it. I did have the beef and rice soup which was fairly good. Will not return.

Used to love to eat at Mel’s been going there for a very long time. The last couple times the food was awful So sad such a great spot has gone that far down hill! Never again!

Horrible!!! Wait an hour for our food as people who ordered after us gets their food. When we finally get our breakfast everything is cold and who likes cold eggs and toast? After wards we ask for a discount for suffering through a cold meal to be told by the manager " were human and we make mistakes" seriously not a way to run a buisness!!!!
Went back for breakfast the next day had an amazing meal again fast just perfect everybody was friendly
