Went to Mel's for breakfast and it was great. The wait staff was very nice and attentive to me as a customer, she was friendly and engaged in conversation to make me feel welcomed to the place. The food was very good and the portion was more than enough, I couldn't finish it all. I would return if back in the area for sure!

I was delightfully surprised to find Mel's Diner as I rolled in to Yakima last night. Had a big diner breakfast and listened to three crusty locals complain about the weather for 45 minutes. Hey, it just added to the charm. I loved the experience. The food and service were fabulous.

Mel's Diner is my favorite place to eat. The food is great with decent prices and the staff is always friendly. One of my favs is the hot turkey sandwich
