I may only get to go by once every couple years but it's always the same EXCELLENT!
Y'all need to visit this place for supper and take the whole family. They have excellent food at good prices. And there is so much food you will *not* leave hungry...you will probably leave with a half dozen or so to go boxes just to take all the extra food home!
The all-time best country cafe ever, anywhere!! I have been eating there at least 20 years or since it opened, whichever came first!
The Lonesome dove~ Our bride this past weekend 8-12-17 booked with Mels, I have to brag on the food and service provided! Coming from a venue i dont get to do this often enough, delivery was prompt, set up and they were ready to serve. Food was amazing, they had chicken fried chicken, the breading was spot on and not soggy and grilled Cajun catfish that was OFF THE CHAIN !!!! CHICKEN FRIED STEAK WAS GREAT , BURGER AND FRIED WRE GOOD ALSO. HAD PEACH COBBLER FOR TAKE HOME.YUM YUM.
Haven't been in 10 years, think I'll take that family soon.
