Best fried chicken strips anywhere.You have to get the Mel's sampler I drive over an hour every time to go there and it's worth it!
Just plain ole honest to goodness country cooking at its finest. Mels had some of the finest fries okra I have ever tasted and the chicken fried steak was to die for. I will definitely return and hopefully then, I will leave enough room for homemade blackberry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Food tasted great. Waitress was very good . Chicken fried steak was very good .
Good food, service not so much. I know that it gets busy, but when you wait almost 10 mins for a drink order, that’s a bit ridiculous!!
