Came in with my son, who has Down Syndrome, who was referred by urgent and primary care for probable Gout In left foot, no known injuries. Took xrays of foot, basically said nothing was wrong, and if I hadn't taken over and led the appt, he would have sent us right out the door after 2 min. He didn't look at medical hx or meds. Didn't even examine feet. And the questions I asked he basically was useless with recommendations. Was a complete waste. VERY disappointed and so are referring doctors
My family doctor told me that Dr. Meleca was the best doctor to take care of my foot. So I set up my appointment and went to meet him. He was kind, caring and truly showed he cared and would do the best he could. We talked, he explained everything in words that I could understand, which was great, because I don’t like it when they speak in doctor language. I wanted to send a great review but one week before my scheduled surgery the doctor canceled. HE didn't call to explain why. The surgery coordinator from Texas called to say he just decided not to do surgeries anymore. I almost didn't answer. I know no anyone in Texas. So no explanation, no coordination to hand off my scheduled surgery to another surgeon, just canceled. Really? A podiatrist that doesn't do surgery? I don't have the world's greatest benefits so paid for the pre-op blood tests and physician visit. Now it looks... read more
Doctor is leaving his practice. He should not be accepting new patients. I went there for an appointment is when the Doctor told me he couldn’t help since was leaving
