I went to Dr. Meleca for minimally invasive bunion surgery. He's an excellent surgeon and very personable. Everyone in his office was friendly, respectful, and easy to work with. I was not, however, sufficiently prepared for the seriousness of the surgery, what to expect during and after the procedure, or how to navigate my recovery, which was delayed and regarding which I was left to my own devices. I saw Dr. Meleca because I had partially ripped my big toenail off & urgent care recommended I have a Podiatrist take it off. They gave me his pamphlet & said he was who they sent patients to. I went straight there because both urgent care, the pamphlet, and the website states they take walk in’s, however they do not state that they are closed on Monday’s - of course, it was a Monday, so I showed up to empty building. Absolutely terrible experience, and the worst part is I haven’t even been able to see Dr. Meleca yet. I scheduled three separate appointments over the phone, showed up each time, and was not on the calendar. For the first two appointments, they had no record of me. For the third appointment, I was told the doctor had left for a conference. So either the appointment was never properly scheduled again, or the doctor left despite having patients booked. Excellent surgeon , superior patient care, highly competent office staff. He is a great physician. Can not recommend highly enough. Made a tough and painful experience quite bearable. 5 stars .

My first visit with this doctor went very well, I really liked him, and I was very impressed with his care. I just had my follow-up appointment and I was very unhappy with this appointment. I was lucky to get him to speak with me for 2 minutes, he wasn't going to examine the foot or anything. I had to ask him to check and see if the foot seemed to be strengthened since the last visit, and then he only did one quick check, not the three or four like last time. The doctor seemed distracted and uninterested.
