On August 16th Dr. Tortolani performed a spinal decompression on me at L4-5. For Dr. Tortolani I'm sure this was a relatively routine procedure but you would never know it from the way he cared for me. He treated me like I was the most important case he has had. He patiently answered every question and took the time to sketch out exactly what he was going to do and why. His staff expedited getting me a surgical appointment and they left no stone unturned. Three weeks ago I underwent microdiscetomy surgery under the care of Dr. P. Justin Tortolani. I cannot express how wonderful everyone I came across was at Union Memorial - from those at registration, to pre-op nurses, anesthesiologists, my doctor and his team, and my nurses in recovery. Everyone was thoughtful, considerate, and extremely nice. I have never had such a great experience during a nerve wrecking day. I will recommend Dr. Tortolani and the orthopedic team any day to anyone who is suffering from neck and back pain.
