Clean and professional i was pleasantly surprised with the time that was spent making sure that my questions where answered..
My surgery and overnight stay was not horrible, but it was the worst I have ever experienced. I had a wonderful surgeon and nursing staff but they were clueless about some of my medical history and I suffered from that more so than from my surgical discomfort. Each shift change the nurse leaving brought the nurse coming in to my room and said "Can you explain about your condition to your new nurse?" That was very disheartening. It's clean and people are friendly and courteous. The Drs and nurses keep the family informed.
The hospital staff was good but the pre-op department is on a total need of a make over with the exception of two nurses and the nurse anesthetist. I've already left a message for the patient advocate to voice my concerns. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this facility solely because my first experience was substandard and unacceptable.
