My daughter jammed her thumb so I took her tonight to save money because I didn't feel it was a true emergency. They took x-rays and said it was dislocated and they were not comfortable putting it back in place so they sent me to the ER. I get to the ER only to have better x-rays taken and to be told it is just a sprain. I understand mistakes happen, but the whole idea of me using urgent care was to avoid the ER. I went in after starting to come down with something. I am lucky enough to have duel insurance and they told me that my visit was going to run me 75 bucks. I asked them why the other insurance wasn't being looked at (this shouldn't run me anything) they told me there was a change in policy and I could reach out to the other insurance company to see about being reimbursed. This is annoying to me I work full time and would rather not miss a day of work when Med Express is supposed to be convenient.
A little bummed that I drove all the way there just to be told I had a sinus infection and I just needed OTC meds, but the wait wasn't bad, the woman who took vitals was so so nice, and they even called a couple days later to make sure I was feeling better. I used to go to Urgent Care by Lowe's but will go here for any future visits.
