Arrived 15 minutes late due to rainy day and lots of traffic accidents. Was told I would need to reschedule after fighting horrible traffic and trying to find parking in a crowded parking structure! The worst experience as doctors go. Dr jacobs butchered my face trying to determine my condition and then referred me to a plastic surgeon for the repair work. His license should be suspended. I think the business is a scam actually to extort patients money. I couldn't ever get anyone on the phones so I had to go in the office in person, then treated with intolerance. I have now finally found a wonderful doctor with skills and professionalism. I actually cried once when I thought of the nightmare I endured unnecessarily.

She may be smart, but she's rude! – First off it took a little too long to get in after my appointment time. She rushed in and her mouth didn't stop pitching her guinea-pig drugs at me until I left, which BTW was the shortest doctors consult I EVER had. I suffer from Hidradenitis Suppurativa, which apparently she treats a lot of patients with it yearly- so she probably doe know her stuff, but she had the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen, and with HS, Lets just say I've been around the Dermatology neighborhoo... read more

tried and true – i have been to numerous dermatologists and esthicians since my skin suddenly broke out at age 27. i rarely write reviews, but i did join citysearch for the purpose of reviewing Michelle. foremost, a sudden and severe onset of acne is both extremely frustrating, and truely an esteem killer. i have spent the past year and half traipsing all over san diego for a good doctor to, at the very least, explain to me what is going on. my skin was so bad i couldnt leave the house some days. having never had bad skin, i... read more

I had previously gotten 4 treatments at Dermacare in Mission Valley. They seemed a little shady so I did some additional research and found that a real MD should be doing the laser treatments and not just a nurse or assistant - which is what Dermacare had. I found Michelle Pelle online and from my first phone call, they were very informative and told me straight up pros and cons of laser and what to expect. Avoid this doctor – From the first appt. she lacked bedside manner. Not friendly, and didn't make me feel comfortable with my problem. When I went for a follow up to show her how badly her procedure went she kept me waiting 35+ minutes past my appt., she was rude, sarcastic, wouldn't acknowledge how badly it turned out. She was short tempered and defensive. Wouldn't let me talk without interrupting.

Awful doctor – Refused to listen to anything I said. Cut me off mid sentence to yell at me and tell me that she "cant help me if I keep undermining her" Im sure her qualifications are just fine, but I have never met a doctor who has made me feel so uncomfortable in my life. I would never go back to her or reccommend her to anyone else.

AMAZING DR.!!!!!!!! – Dr. Pelle is a god!! I have had cystic acne my whole life and no other dermatologist has been able to help me find any relief!! i have even tried accutane before, no help. The first visit to Dr. Pelle, she looked at my skin, and said we aren't going to try any of those oral medications that you have in the past, they obviously don't work (unlike most doctors who want you to try everything before they start more aggressive treatment :) ). This is what I wrote in Feb 2009, I went to go see her again, the office appointment and customer service for accounting did not work well with my needs, I had to cancel my appointment because they couldn't give me a full price or work with me on a payment. It was frustrating not to be able to see Dr. Phelle due to there poor customer service or how to set up a payment plan with a Credit Care Card that offers payments.
