RecommendedI'm from the Midwest. My local cafe made Hamburger Combos. I'm glad the Mecca has the Open Face Hamburger Sandwich. The only thing that would make it better? Serve it with Mashed Potatoes. Though, the fries dipped in gravy is pretty delicious!
Love my breakfast at Mecca! They get my over medium eggs right every time! That rarely happens even in fancy places. Turkey bacon, perfect hash browns, biscuit and a lovely waitress who always knows what we want. Very happy!😋
First visit since it changed ownership and was pleasantly surprised. Best fried catfish around! Trent was a most friendly and accommodating server to our large group of folks. Ambience remains great. Must say, however, that we did miss the Dombalis family. A must return on our agenda!! Thanks, Mecca folks.👏👏

I visited The Mecca for the first time recently. It was wonderful. I had fried chicken, collard greens, black eyed peas, and rice and gravy. The atmosphere is unique. It felt like little had been changed since it opened in 1930. The food was fantastic. The service was quick. I highly recommend this place.

I always give a second chance. This was it. I waited more than 15 minutes before I asked for service. Several staff members walked passed and didn't acknowledge my existence and since I was the only person at the bar, that seems impossible. Same thing happened the first time I went but I had more patience and decided to get food. The food was fine. But I felt that my patronage wasn't needed. I will never go back.
