The Mecca is Raleigh's most historic eatery, serving the downtown Raleigh area since the Great Depression. The Mecca is not trendy. We are a mom-and-pop store that specializes in the kind of comfort food that evokes a simpler time.

Great fun spot to go and race go karts... hold on...
We had a great time good food!! Mercedes was an exceptional waitress!
Waitress was a little disrespectful. Ran out of a main dish and had just opened 3 hours prior to us getting there.
Absolutely coming back. Best chicken I've had in a long time.
The best fried chicken I've eaten in a long time served by the nicest people.
sitio fantástico atención súper y comida deliciosa
Found this great little find while strolling around downtown! The oldest operating restaurant in Raleigh, it opened in 1930. I showed up between the lunch and dinner rush so I pretty much had it to myself but look how charming and historic. $10.90 for a Rib Eye, salad and a side. Incredible. Staff is friendly and loves the history of there establishment.
Always great food. I do remember "big" Nick (quite the handsome and dapper gentleman), then son Nick and his wife, Floye.
