About this business

Seacoast Medical Center opened as an outpatient facility in October of 2000. For more than 10 years, it has been providing comprehensive imaging and diagnostic services, outpatient surgery services, rehabilitation programs, cardiac rehab, and emergency care. In 2004, a certificate of need was filed and that same spirit of community partnership was evident when work began to bring inpatient beds to Seacoast Medical Center. It would take several more years of petitioning before construction could begin in 2009. On July 11, 201... read more

If I could give a negative score I would I brought my three-year-old son there because he woke up screaming in pain of his head and his ear. This is after having a severe stomach flu for over a week and still having diarrhea explained all of this and when I asked why he was not being given fluids they proceeded to tell me that he only needs fluids if he can’t produce his own tears if he can’t pee when my son was sitting there, lethargic and dehydrated from diarrhea for five days straight top all that off yet had 102 fever h... read more

Scheduled an appointment for an annual physical. My original doctor left so they said I needed an appoinment to establish care with another doctor which insurance did not pay for. I went but their computer systems were down so Dr Hu decided we should just do this the next month. I did go to that next appointment. I was then charged for two appointments out of pocket to "establish care" and lost a half days of work twice with no actual physical. I just went to schedule my next annual physical and was told she is 9 months... read more

Worst experience I’ve ever had with hospital staff in my life. I have a brain disorder that causes me to have suedo seizures and I was brought in for one I had in public. It was not my choice to call nor do I have any control over my seizures and yet they treated me like I was a drug addict, or like I was faking because they didn’t understand my disorder. The ambulance EMT was extremely rude, I was crying because I was in pain and she told me she knew I was faking and to “knock it off”. She was very rough with me and kept t... read more

McLeod Seacoast Hospital has always treated myself & my family very well. All of the staff are friendly & did all they could to accommodate. The doctors are top notch in my opinion! I’d much rather been seen at Seacoast than Grand Strand! I accompanied my Mom to Grand Strand emergency 6 times this year & not once was there a room for her! She was treated (undressed )in the aisles & it took hours. At Seacoast she was provided a room, received immediate quality care, & kept her dignity.

The nurses are great at McLeod/Seacoast Hospital. As for the doctors out here, the Hilo rate oath is meaningless out here in the South…. It is all about how much money they can make on each patient and that is including as many followups they can get out of that patient which means more money in their “business”….. out here they use the assembly line process…. 15 minutes or less with a patient. I have been suffering for more than five years from a botched femur surgery by a “surgeon on call” Yougofor a second or third opin... read more

Do not go there. Nursing staff could care less. Doctors are OK. Should be sued and lose license.

Worst Hospital I have ever been in. Spent 10 days, and still do not have my discharge papers 17 days after being discharged. the employees seem as though they are under a lot of tension. They will not answer simple questions and you seldom see a DR. Should I ever need to return, I can assure you that I am going to be heard even if I have to make my way to the head persons office.

I had surgery for fracture in ankle and crossover toe surgery on same foot at same time. Everything went smooth from registration to preop. The nurses in preop were top of the line care before surgery. They tended to me like I was their number 1 person. Felt like I knew them for years and made me very comfortable. Then the anesthesiologist was top of the line also with care and explaining everything to me what he was going to do and let me know he would make me very comfortable before surgery, which he did. I put them all on... read more
