I asked for highlights, layers, and wash and go style. The highlights seem closer to hair that has been dyed different shades of blonde. There are no layers and the wash and go was supposedly done by a natural stylist but the products were too heavy for my curl pattern and made my hair look stringy and messy. The stylist seemed unprepared due to the fact that he had to ask many other stylists to borrow their tools. I went in for a silk press and left with extensive heat damage. The stylist (Tonya) turned the iron up to 500°. I was too shy to say anything because she showed some annoyance as 3 other clients were waiting on her, so I guess she was trying to get through each client quickly. I have a lot of hair and every time I wash it and I see the heat damage of my hair not reverting to its normal type 4b/4c, I'm reminded of the regret of going to this salon in the first place. Paid $265 for color (red-brown on originally black hair) and press and left with hot roots and no change to the rest of my hair. I was still charged full price PLUS extra for extra color. The stylist admitted she didn’t know why the dye didn’t take and offered no fix. I called to ask for a redo and rebooked as instructed, only for the appointment to be canceled last-minute with no follow-up. I was referred to this salon and I was genuinely excited to book a service. Before doing so, I decided to call on April 16th around 12:15 PM to confirm a few details. Unfortunately, my experience over the phone was disappointing. The person who answered spoke so quickly and abruptly that I had to double-check that I even called the right number.
