The ingredient list for this stuff reads like it belongs in a lab, not a kitchen. Sure, they’ll say the patty is “100% beef,” but everything around it is packed with preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers, and enough sodium to make your blood pressure nervous. After the recent renovation the restaurant has adopted a vibe similar to an unfinished basement dive bar, with dark, baren walls or plywood panels to stare at while you wait for your food. The counter having a single cash register when the gap between it, the cafe display, and the serving counter is a mile wide makes it feel like anyone could just waltz into the kitchen, and as a whole it feels like they arbitrarily threw up walls where there didn't need to be. Busy spot on Kempt but they move fast. Order was accurate, food came out hot, and fries were fresh. Dining area was clean and parking is easy compared to some other Halifax locations.
