We went for the St Patrick's Day celebration. It was disappointing they were out of corned beef by 7:15. BUT I must say the crab and shrimp melt was excellent. I requested a table next to the band Day Break and was told we could see and hear the band. We could partially see but not hear the band. We were there because Day Break has amazing talent. The food etc was secondary. Not being able to hear the band and no corned beef on St Patty's day it might as well have been an evening out in February.

We are sorry for your disappointment. It is always a hectic time at McCooles on St Paddy's Day and this was a Saturday night. There are only a few tables that can sit right near the band. The way the old building is laid out there isn't a lot of options for the live music. You are always welcome to move around and sit and listen wherever you can . There were people sitting by the piano. The music next door has more options to set up and people to sit. The rooms are bigger and more open.
The food was pretty good. There was live music, and our waiter was nice and informative.
Service is always spectacular, great bartenders, nice atmosphere. Had the most amazing chicken carbonara last night! I definitely recommend.

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday there. The owner (Jan) was super-accommodating. The food and staff were amazing. We will be regulars.
Great place for dinner, lunch, or just a drink for 1 person or a large group call Jane and she will make your event the best, not to mention th He atmosphere is great!
Great vibe & mood. Love the history. Got to sit by the fireplace, so romantic & cozy on such a dreary day. Drinks, food, dessert all perfect.
Staff were very nice an the food was very good.. Will be coming back again.
It was my husband and I 2nd time there, we loved it. We weren't hungry but I said I could tell by the smells this place has great food!! Can't wait to come back and try a meal and appetizers!!!
