So I moved to Kentucky and was telling my sister to FedEx me some tamale pies !!!!!! BBQ here isn't as good as this place!
I got the sampler platter. Same dry meat only the Ribs were good. Friend who lives in the area kept apologizing. So take your chance some good some bad.
I don't get all these negative reviews. I am 51 years old and have been eating McClard's BBQ all my life and it still tastes the same to me. Nothing has changed, it still tastes fantastic. The beef, pork, ribs, tamales all taste great and the slaw. I could eat my own weight in McClard's slaw. I have never tasted slaw like it anywhere else. Sorry to say it was terrible. We got the sampler platter and everything was dry and tasteless. The sausage and potato salad were ok, but that was it. The fries weren’t even up to par. I hate to leave bad reviews, but it was bad enough that I felt I needed to.
After many years of going there. Three times in a row it has been bad. Bland chunky meat the sauce tastes like mostly vinegar.
Yummy .... a must have when in Hot Springs ..... so good!
