I love Yoga under the oaks! It's so tranquil and there's usually a nice breeze. It feels good to be one with nature, and in mind, body and soul! The yoga relieves a lot of tension and pain that I have. Jackie and Hanna are awesome instructors. The nature center has beautiful trails to walk as well. There's something there for everyone.

We have visited this gem of a park several times during our stay in the area. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The trails are well maintained though I wish there was signage to indicate your location on the trails. Recent clearing of exotic vegetation indicates the staff is dedicated to making McAllen Nature Center better and better for people and wildlife. We will definitely put this on our list of places to visit in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.

IDEA Quest National Honor Student Council had a wonderful time getting to know our native surrounding to be able to form a more comprehensive recycling campaign on our campus. The kids we enlightened to our plant life and through the guidance of very knowledgeable counselors and they were given an opportunity to make a take away activity that they will be able to preserve for themselves and teach others. They played games where they understood the importance of preserving natural habitats for migrating birds and other animal... read more
