I like taking a walk in the mornings before starting my day. Place has a really nice calm feeling to it. Also a great place to take your kids in case your tired of being indoors. Trails have exceptional shade which is great if your going to be walking for a while. As for wildlife there's plenty of interesting things going on, also depending on the time of day.
My first time here and I had a great time. Will be back soon.
Just came home from the family nature walk. All I can say is Wow! We learned and saw so much! Glad McAllen has this center
A hidden gem, located in Mcallen, that is the number one place to see birds, butterflies, and cool natives.

They have great activities for the whole family, free of charge. I went there twice this summer, we really enjoyed the Contacto Animal event, and also a teamwork for kids event. Rigo and Raziel (staff members) were really helpful and explained many interesting things!! Thanks!!
