BEAUTIFUL place! if you visit you must take a tour of the house. Its absolutely wonderful!
To say that Maymont is a good park is to say that boneless buffalo wings are merely a good food or that sleeping-in is at best a good way to spend a weekend morning...Maymont, for those who haven't been there, is the quintessential outdoor experience. We natives put up with a lot of nonsense to call Richmond and the surrounding areas home; the sewage plant off 95, the bums, hipsters, etc. Maymont is one of Richmond's very few saving graces. If you have the opportunity, then go. You won't regret it.
Beautiful place with so much to see and easily to enjoy with family and friends, something there for all ages to make their visit fun!
