Went on the VIP tour and really enjoyed the behind the scenes look at how the animals are cared for and feed. Learned a ton and can't wait to go back!
What a great place. So much to see. Loved it. The tour guide in the mansion. Was wonder lady.
Had a nice day here with family. Grandkids had fun. Guided tour of mansion very interesting. The grounds were expansive. Amazing place.

You can't live in Richmond without knowing, and loving Maymont. It is Richmond's public park, serving all generations, in all seasons.
I took my Mom to Maymont yesterday. We brought in food and drinks to have a picnic on the grounds with zero problem. I saw zero water fountains (including vending machines) on the estate so bring bottles of water! We toured the mansion which was very nice. You have to go on a guided tour to go inside the mansion. The estate is large and has plenty of hills throughout the walkways. Excellent for walking and running. The Nature Center isn't free but is still very cheap.
