Really nice, family friendly. We visited some friends who live there and took our kids 2, 5, and 10 and all three had a good time! Lots to see, animals were all out and visable.
The scenery at Maymont was so beautiful, the flowers were blooming and the atmosphere was so peaceful. My god daughter truly enjoyed seeing the various animals. The employee's were very polite and professional.
Upon our visit to Richmond, VA, everyone in town recommended Maymont. We decided to visit. While walking through the nature trail, it was fascinating to see, but while walking towards the Italian and Japanese garden, we ran into a mansion. This was the Dooley's mansion. It was fantastic. I will recommend the Maymont to everyone that visits Richmond. We did not get to see the entire 100 acre landmark, but the parts that we did see was magnificent.
