Viva la Maya! – If you're like the people who have been complaining that the food was "too expensive and not authentic enough"... go to the mission and eat in a taqueria. But if you want to enjoy an inventive and creative mexican meal, then I definitely recommend Maya. Overpriced – This place is way overpriced. The food is not that great and servings are small. Not your typical Mexican cuisine. For 27$ you receive a very small portion filet mignon and very small side dish. Not worth it.
Not bad - far from great – Yes, drinks are expensive, but it's a nice place for a happy hour.
Once was enough – We walked in and after eating we wished we had walked out before ordering. The service was dreadful. The food was okay, but nothing like we have had in Mexico. We will never go back.
Maya's for Happy Hour – This is the best for happy hour. Delicious free snacks, good solid drinks, the most pleasant atmosphere....classy, yet friendly. Great for women....and feels big-city.
No pi~natas ? – First time and had great time with my date. About time a Mexican Restaurant did'nt have pi~natas, flourecent beer logos, ect... I enjoyded the food & service (so did my date). Will be back.
What !!!! – Wonderfull food. Not what I expected; I could not order a combination plate or a 2lb burrito, but I was there so I tried it. To my surprise I found great food, not great mexican food, great food. Try the rack of lamb with a slight hint of adobo, mashed potatoes, root veg & pan juices (I guess it's mexican because of the adobo) it was great.
Horrible – The food was not very good, the margaritas were downright bad, and the service was completely unattentive. For the price, I was expecting a whole lot more. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone (unless I was mad at them).
