The Peoria team had a wonderful time volunteering at the Garden of Hope, an organization dedicated to rebuilding the lives of people who have been exposed to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Maxim employees helped maintain the garden by picking fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. The garden provides a safe place for family, friends and neighbors to gather to support each other. Jason Passabet, Maxim's regional director of military and federal homecare, spoke at the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding the access to in-home shift nursing for high acuity veterans, specifically those with diagnoses such as ALS that require assistive technologies such as ventilators and tracheostomies. Maxim is a huge advocate of ensuring home care is accessible to veterans, helping patients receive care within the home rather than within a medical facility when it's unnecessary.
Thank you to all of the incredible sponsors, players, and volunteers that helped make the Maxim Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament a success. The event was filled with donations, an exciting day on the golf course, and lots of fun.
