Had heard amazing things and after stalking the menu online, was excited to try it tonight. Sadly, at 9:15PM on a Saturday night the kitchen was already closed? With being open until 2AM, I would have thought that the kitchen would remain open until at least 10PM-11PM.

Food and service was pretty good but the plastic walls made it very cold in there. The heat couldn't keep up. It was set to 72 but it felt 60. Others tables were complaining about that as well. But all in all it was good.

Great service! Great atmosphere! Food was good. I like that they use a local bread company but think the bread has set to long and wasn't fresh.. Food was good it has spice. I think to much smokey taste is added, keep it a lil more simple on the sides. Sauces were great for pork! Pork was good. Overall experience was good. I just think new business new menu they have to test the waters on food and get feedback! That's what we are here for. We will be back! Waiter was great!
Thoroughly enjoyed dinner with friends last night at Maverick's. Our server was excellent...not an easy task with 6 women at the table! I had the 2-meat plate with sliced beef brisket and nc pulled pork. Both had great smoke flavor and were so moist even without any of the 3 sauces available! Sides of smoked gouda mac-n-cheese (very yummy) and collards were perfect. Tasted the sweet potato fries (especially good!), deviled eggs, nachos, banana pudding...everything was great and I will definitely be back!
