Dr. Hansen is a very caring person. I have had 4 surgeries on my shoulders. With each surgery there were more improvements and this last reverse shoulder replacement was the best! The staff is wonderful and they are very organized! I have total confidence in Dr. Hansen

Dr. Hanson did my hip pinning surgery 2 years ago after I broke my hip at 30 years old. I’m very grateful to have had him as my surgeon because he advocated for me as needed and referred me out for an official dx of a connective tissue disorder.

Very disappointed and total waste of time and money. Dr. Hansen may be great but the hoops you have to jump through to see him are ridiculous. I had been diagnosed with a hip labral tear and mixed impingement with a MRI arthrogram in June. I wanted a 2nd opinion as this would mean a revision from a repair I had had 5 years prior. First his office said I was required to start with a general orthopedist in his office to verify that I qualified to be seen by Dr. Hansen. As I was driving over 3 hours to get his opinion I had to ... read more

If you are an athlete undergoing ACL surgery, I do not recommend Dr. Hansen. The procedure he uses is old-fashioned and while it may ensure the ACL graft is not likely to tear, the graft will be unstable for lateral movements and destroy your meniscus (the graft placement on the femur is too vertical). I had ACL reconstruction surgery with him in Dec 2017. 8 months later at physical therapy, during a lateral movement drill, I tore my meniscus because of my knee's instability.

Multiple poor experiences. He drained my daughter's cyst. The substance he took from the cyst, he dug thru it on the exam table, thereby contaminating it, then he didn't have enough sample left to send for a biopsy. He should have obtained the sample first, then examined the remaining substance. Several hours late to the appt. Attitude didn't seem to great either. There are lots of other docs, try one of them first.

Dr. Hansen (Go Utes!) has carried out total reverse replacements on both of my shoulders (severe osteoarthritis) during the past six months. The latest one (just three weeks ago) was carried out using computer navigation using highly detailed CT scans to more precisely fit my prosthesis into my body and has led to much less pain (off of Oxycodone within 7 days) and a faster healing and recovery time. Deepest thanks to Dr. Hansen and his PA, Geoff Streetor and his OUTSTANDING staff! Hook 'em!

We were referred by a friend and visited Dr Hansen after already seeing 4 orthopedic surgeons. We already had committed to the 4th Surgeon thinking he would work. We needed ACL reconstruction for our son who is 15 yr old freshman. Dr Hansen has complete knowledge of the 3 different types of Grafts for ACL rebuild. A professional. After we talked more about our son's Athletic ability, we both thought the Patella Graft was best suited for our son. I would Highly recommend Dr Hansen He's a 10!!

Dr. Hansen is a consummate professional whose judgment I rely on explicitly. We have homes in the east and the west and we will, absent an emergency, come back to Phoenix to see Dr Hansen for an Ortho procedure, without reservation and with confidence we have a GREAT orthopedic physician to provide care.
