We were so disappointed in our experience yesterday. It's the 3rd time we were there and we have raved about it to so many people. It was extremely loud! Last time I was there it was calm, relaxing atmosphere. We were there for 30 minutes before we got our drinks. The dark and stormy was terrible. By the time an hour came around we finally got our food. My food was delicious I got the pumpkin gnocchi.I am sure our waitress could tell we were unhappy but she did nothing to make it better. Great atmosphere, our waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious . We went this past Friday night @ 7 with a reservation for 4. Some people say the prices are too high, I could not disagree more. The prices are on point with every meal. The quality of ingredients are great. Wife got the penne with chicken and vodka sauce (fantastic). I ordered the seafood scoglio with linguini( I figured it mite have a couple shrimp and mussels) it was loaded with seafood. The meal was amazing the Mussels with Chorizo mmmm to die for I cannot wait to go back plus my Cocktail was delicious
This restaurant was one of the stops on the Lawrenceville Burgh Bits and Bites Food Tour. We loved the sample so much we stayed for dinner, luckily Matt and his staff were able to accommodate our party. We had such a hard time ordering because everything sounded so delicious, then when the food came out it was all delicious. I would highly recommend Matteo's to anyone in the Pittsburgh area or anyone traveling to Pittsburgh.
