Dr Austin really listens to the patient! He discusses the plan of care with you. He really cares about his patients and does not try to shut you up with pills!

I have a serious case post Polio, diabetes T2, HP, and fibromyalgia. Without asking me about any of the other conditions he stated that my major problem was fibromyalgia. Ok but he didn’t advice me of any treatment. Would I recommend Dr Austin? NOT even to my worse enemies!!

Did not seem to treat patient as individuals with various medical needs. Dr Austin was far more concerned about taking patients off all medication without regard to affect on patient

I've been treating with Dr. Austin for about a year and a half now for chronic illness, and find him to be a conscientious and caring provider. He is professional and efficient, but takes the time to listen carefully and provide thorough explanations. His visits do not feel rushed, and I always come away with a clear understanding of my plan of care.

I saw Dr, Austin several times and I was getting sicker and sicker. He didn't order not one lab or test on me. Kept brushing things off. I found a new doctor and was referred to the right specialist and was diagnosed with Dysautonomia as well as a rare disorder called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. My feet was turning different colors he brushed it off as an allergy. Come to find out it was blood pooling in my feet which turned out to be from a crippling, rare disorder called POTS.

This is an incredibly pompous man that I now feel is completely incompetent! He was very condescending. I would NEVER recommend this guy! The staff at Mercy has always been great. They made a bad move hiring this person.

Dr. Austin has been the most patient listener of any doctor I've ever had. I have never felt rushed, unheard, or misunderstood and anytime I had a question about a symptom or medication he didn't mind spending time making sure I understood what I was facing. His relaxed demeanor has helped put me at ease about health related concerns that in times past have brought about undue stress or anxiety.
