Dr Malthur was dismissive and unhelpful. I was scheduled with her for a consult. The evaluation took less than a half an hour and she told me she couldn’t provide me the care I needed and said I needed an IOP. I have never been on medication and this was my attempt to start on something to stabilize. She was dismissive and without giving me any information on referrals told me to just call my insurance to find a program. This was an incredibly awful experience. She was dismissive and unhelpful and essentially said you’re too... read more

She was rude to the point of driving me to tears. Did not want to be there. Why would this person become a doctor if they clearly do not like people or care for their mental well being?

Preeti Mathur, MD After less than 1 minute on zoom she was eye rolling and making rude faces at me because I was shutting down my work area & leaving my office & it was dark for 8 seconds on screen. I let her know I was heading to a well-lit room & I cannot express more how long I waited for this opportunity(which I requested to leave work early 2 hours for). It took a lot out of me to get the courage to reach out & seek guidance. To be treated like I'm an inconvenient irritant by a psychiatrist is a contradiction. I read th... read more

Would be zero stars if available. My daughter had an appointment via telehealth. She made the situation worse and had zero "bedside manner". Told a 19-year-old college student dealing with some depression within 20 minutes that she couldn't help her and that she should look into checking herself into inpatient care.

I was seeing her for a couple years, and always felt kinda weird after our appointments. They were short - 2 minutes max, and she never really listened. She started me on a new medication, and after a couple weeks I started feeling suicidal. I knew the ONLY thing that had changed was that medication, and so I called and made a appointment. The earliest they had was a few weeks out, so I scheduled it, but after a few days I got super nervous for my mental health, so I stopped taking the new medication. When I finally had the ... read more

She is the WORST psychiatrist I have ever had. Does not listen to your issues, disregards requests and is quite honestly the rudest woman. Would not recommend her to anyone. Finding a new psychiatrist ASAP.

Nope!!! Short appointment. Serious medication prescribed with little evaluation. I’m sure following through would do more harm than good.

I just got done with by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a psychiatrist. She started off by interrupting me, while trying to explain some mistakes I had made on the questionnaire, (my phone wasn’t working so it auto answered most of it). She abruptly told me that she doesn’t read any of that anyways and she has her own questions. She starts going off of her list and interrupts me during any elaboration I give and moves us along. She attacks one answer I give immediately about 10 minutes in, and when I try to expla... read more

Dr. Mathur needs to be more observant and ask relevant questions about the side effects of the medication she prescribes. She continued to prescribe strong doses of medications without counter balancing the side effects that had a disastrous effect on our daughter. It appears that she’s only interested in making money without actually caring for her patients.
