Back in April of 2016 I went into Massage Envy and got my very first massage. It was great. They talked me into getting a facial and signing up for the one year plan with them. I agreed to the facial. After my facial was done, they bombarded me with the subscription of a year contract with them. I kept telling them that I do not think I can afford it. I felt so pressured into buying into a year contract. It was to the point that I felt Stop correcting "uncomfortable" and the manger with blonde hair came out of her office and gave me 50 dollars with of free products. It was a very uneasy feeling. I signed the year contract. Fast forward 7 months. I have used ONE of my massages. I called in three weeks prior to make my appointment and the gentleman on the phone was so rude, I did not want to even go in. BUT- I am paying 60 dollars a month for this and wanted to use it. This is where it gets fun. I had eye surgery unexpectedly in September. I called massage envy in Fairlawn, Ohio. I explained what happened and the lady was like there is nothing I can do. You are stuck with it for a year or you can "freeze" it for 6 months but then you cannot use anything you have already paid for... WHAT? Excuse me. I have paid Massage envy over $400 to you and only use one of my packages. I said okay, I will call corporate. I called corporate Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday three times. Left two voicemails during this time. I did not receive a phone call back for 5 days. That is UNACCEPTABLE. The gentleman named Ian finally called me back but I was at work. I called him back and missed the call again. Left him yet another voicemail and have no heard back. I just would like Massage envy to cancel my membership. I have had eye surgery and it is a very expensive expense I had not planned on making. My eye bill is 160 a month. I can give paper work, my bills, my doctors note something to get out of my massage envy contract. This is a terrible business and company.
