Markham installed a new opener for us late last year. A problem started this week where part of the garage was triggering the safety sensor and the garage would not close. I called the office to schedule a repair. First, Theresa informed me about a way I could get the door to close by bypassing the sensor. Second, she scheduled a service visit as soon as possible. Two days ago, I crashed my car into the garage door when it was opening. After the crash, the garage door was opened half way and could not go up or down. The garage doors were installed by Markham Garage Doors Ltd and I called Louis, the sales representative, right away. I told him that I was worried about the garage door being unable to close. We were pleased with the supply and installation of our garage door by Markham Garage Doors. We found them through Homestars. Louis was quick to visit the house to assess sizing and I believe their pricing was very competitive. Everything was completed in the time-frame promised. After one of our garage openers broke we contacted the company that originally installed the whole garage door opening assembly. Without seeing what the problem was we were given a few costly estimates for replacing the entire lifting mechanism. Subsequently we contacted Markham Garage Door because of their 5* Home Star ratings. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem (sheared chain sprocket). The repair took about one hour and the price was very reasonable.
