I have been a customer of Mark's for a very long time. The reason why I have been a "old" client is because he is one of the best hair stylist I have ever been to. I must say he does takes his time, that is because he is very detailed oriented and prefers to get the job done right rather than rush and leave your clients unsatisfied. Mark and the staff at MOM are 100% professional and have some serious skills. In the past, I have had my hair cut at some of the best salons in the city and can say that Mark's cuts are just as good (at a fraction of the cost). Although they do cut women's hair here, most of the customers in the shop are usually for hair extensions, as that is their specialty. Mark, the owner, has been cutting hair for a long time. An amazing experience! I love the new style and color! Very skilled hairdressers!! I have never enjoyed haircuts, but I felt really comfortable and had a great time on my first visit. Would definitely recommend to a family member or friend, as well as strangers who are not looking all that loved LOL! . Thank you to the team at Mark on Madison, you always do a fabulous job!!

Really friendly staff that don't make you feel intimidated. Not pretentious like some other salons. I've had my hair cut and colored here, and have been happy with both. I always come out of the salon happy and they don't charge ridiculous prices too. I liked how when I was going to go light in color, they did a test strand to show me the different shades that my hair could go. This helped a lot since sometimes what you have in mind is not necessarily what you get as different hair reacts differently with the dye.

I never write reviews. No, really....never. But I felt compelled to write one about this place. I travel all over the country for work. I'm on the road (outside of FL) for 7-10 months out of the year. Someone different cuts my hair practically every month. I have gotten a haircut in pretty much every major city in the country and I have NEVER gotten a better haircut then I got from Mark at Mark on Madison. First off, anyone who can manage my thick, coarse nightmarish hair with aplomb has my respect. Secondly I find that their recipe for success is... a super friendly staff and expert hairdressers who know what they are doing and know what works for you. This is the best Salon I've been to in New York - the hairdressers are so talented. Unfortunately, it is getting so expensive that I have to add an extra week between colors. Even the products have now gone up quite a bit. (That's the reason I've rated it as Very Good, not Excellent). But, I'd rather scrimp on other areas in life and get a really good cut and color - even if it does cost me over $50 a week by the time I split the cost by the number of weeks in between visits.

I suffered from very extensive hairloss and needed a hairstyle which could hide my patches as much as possible as I didnt wanted to put on wig. I was suggested of Mark by one of my colleagues and I must admit that I'm fully satisfied and thankful to them. Very good service and now I love my new hair style which was perfectly styled by the expert hands of Mark. Will recommend Mark on Madison to all.

Excellent service with very attractive offers. Mark has long list of celebrities as his clients and you will know why when you get your hair styled here at Mark on Madison. They really deserves a visit each time you need hair styling. I've added them to my list of favorites for my hair style. I personally recommend Mark on Madison.
