Bought a used jeep unlimited rubicon from Mark Mcclarty . I purchased it for my wife because it had all the safety features. When we got almost home we noticed that the controls on the steering wheel and dash didn’t work. Once we got home and was backing up the camera didn’t work. To fix the controls and bicameral we will have to get a factory one put in. This will cost over $2000 just for the unit only. Installation would be an additional cost. I’ve had a terrible experience with the finance department at this dealership. I came to file paperwork the first week of May. I called for 3 weeks following that trying to get a status update on the filed paperwork. I never got an answer or a call back. I finally had to go in to find out that my paperwork had never gotten filed. I refilled my paperwork at the beginning of June. After calling again multiple times with no return call or answer I finally got someone to answer today. This paperwork has a 6-8 week processing tim... read more

I would steer clear of this dealership. Communication is one thing they could use a ton of help with. I tried contacting them 3 times on a used vehicle they had for sale. Freddie J***** said he would check to see if it was on the lot. I attempted 3 times to find out if the vehicle was still there with no response. The next day I did a quick search and saw that it was removed from their website. A simple it's been sold would have been nice. I guess since he wasn't going to make a sale he didn't care.

This is by far the worst dealership I’ve ever done business with. In June 2022, I purchased a 2018 Ford F150 that was “Certified Blue” and supposedly went thru a 160 point inspection prior to me taking delivery. Days later, we noticed the truck making a ticking sound upon a cold start. Didn’t sound like anything major but I reached out to the salesman John to let him know of the noise I was hearing. By far worst car experience I have ever experienced. Between the manager and finance manger it was a complete nightmare. Told us they could only give us X amount due to sticker price on our trade in, then post it for sale 15k over what they gave us. My fiancé and k had 3 and 9% interest rates previously, they never discussed our rate and I see why. “The best they could do” was a 13.4%! Our fault we should have asked and walked away. Started off ok but the process of getting our registration dragged out, starting with the wrong tax check being sent to us. This was corrected and a new temporary tag was issued because at that point it was coming up on 1 month. Received the new check but when we registered we had to pay nearly $1000 out of pocket because the check sent was not the correct amount. Advised them of this issue and it still has not been corrected. Was told on the day of purchase that another set of keys and missing center cap would be sent to me... read more

McLarty Ford are scam artists, but bad even at that. If you are not an experienced car buyer, trust me, go somewhere else. They inflate the MSRP from Ford, advertise falsely, thinking you are paying MSRP, when "their" MSRP is $5,000 over sticker, crooks...They will send offers online, when the car is sold the (the old bait and switch)..then don't honor them. I had a solid Truecar offer from them...a measly 1.3% discount, not the cheapest, but close physically to me. First they told me the car was sold, or was in the process.... read more

I wish I could give a negative number. I'm a big believer in reading reviews when I'm getting ready to make a big purchase or to hire services. I can only hope that this review is able to help someone avoid a similar bad experience. My elderly father recently had his truck totaled due to storm damage and decided he would purchase a new 2020 Ford F150. He has always been a Ford customer ever since I can remember. These people are less than truthful, but they are greedy. I have problems with my 2020 Ford Explorer I bought in Florida. Ford decided to take the car back after I found a replacement. I found one at Mark McLarty Ford. I told them to please hold the car and Ford Motor would be in touch with them to do the transaction. They kept missing each others calls. I even offered to leave a deposit but didn't seem necessary by them. Instead of being patient after just a couple of days, they decided to be greedy and sell the car. Very u... read more
