You never spend any time with Dr. Mackey. Only the physician assistant. Today I had knee injections.

Dr Mackey is very experienced and takes the time with his exceptional staff to explain your condition and all the available options. His focus is you and getting you to the best quality of life for the longest time and with the most conservative approach. Although he is a noted surgeon, he is not sharpening his knife at the first visit. So grateful for being under his care and treatment.
Dr. Mackey was very thorough during my appointment to explain my options. I felt comfortable asking questions and creating a plan for my care. His staff is extremely friendly and the text and email reminders are nice.

No wait time. I was seen by a very handsome PA, who was very knowledgeable. Then, a very pleasant young woman took me directly for xrays. Dr. Mackey exllained what was going on with my shoulder and gave me a cortozone shot that wasn't horrible. He asked if I had any further questions and told me to contact him if I did not get relief from PT. I would recommend him.
Just left the office and was totally dissatisfied, staff and PA were wonderful and attentive, doctor had read what he needed and consulted with PA and walked in ready to dismiss me! I tried to explain I receive my health care thru the V A and simply was trying to ask if he could coridinate a pain plan with my doctor to help me with the pain until I can begin PT, I’m not sure why since he had one foot already out the door and I had been dismissed and apparently labeled “patient seeking drugs”!!
