Dr Galbraith is a nice, personable man. His regular receptionist has Wednesdays off, and ironically, that's the day most of his patients want to schedule their appointment. Dr. G used me as a guinea pig with a couple of new drugs on the market. One didn't hurt me, but the other, Niaspan, caused numbness and pain in my feet. After my complaining that the symptoms were worsening, I saw a neurologist who identified the cause as drug induced neuropathy. A great professional, intelligent, always up to date on new medical information including medications and physical therapy. His referrals to other health professionals are exceptional. Rarely have to wait more than a few minutes.. he knows how to marry professional attitude with compassion . A little humor shows through when it is helpful to the patient. He never seems hurried and does not carry an attitude of superiority. A nice and capable man. Highly recommend him.
Unfortunately, I must say, Dr. Galbraith office and his staff cannot be trusted. I made an appointment for annual check up, which was covered by my insurance. They conducted unnecessary tests and lab works without informing me. Those tests were not covered by my insurance and then the office referred me to the paper work that I signed that I am responsible for all the costs. Dr.Galbraith is a great doctor who takes the time to spend with his patients. Problem I have is with the staff. Front desk is rude when she speaks to you but tries to maintain this pleasant voice even though she is condescending. Nurse doesn't have a good bed side manner at all. I have referred patients to him and they all love him but are tired of the staff. Now I am on the fence as well. Considering going elsewhere due to his staff.
So as a follow up to my review on 7/31...after completing my year end physical with this Doctor, including full blood panel drawn in his office, I was referred for an Echo. The referral was referenced in my last review, which was an absolute disaster and never occurred due to staff incompetency. I agree with the previous reviewer. The staff at Dr. G's office is not only rude, they're incompetent. Scheduling is a major fiasco, including referrals to specialists. I'm in the process of transitioning my family to another practice due to challenges and over investment in time with "C" at the front desk. The only thing I disagree with the previous rating is she doesn't only talk down to you, she talks over you, which is very annoying.
Fantastic doctor, very thorough but comfortable at the same time. The only complaint is his office manager. I have observed and been the recipient of her talking down to and speaking rudely to patients. Don't let her put you off, if you can stand that annoyance, Dr. G is wonderful.
Incredible doctor, kind, compassionate and a great diagnostician. I have been his patient since he opened his practice and even though his practice has grown, the outstanding service and caring have remained the same. There aren't enough kind things I can same about him, he's a terrific doctor.
Dr Galbraith is GREAT! He is not only a great Doctor he is a great person. Finding a good Doctor you trust is so hard these days. I can not say enough good things about Dr Galbraith as it has been a long time since I had a good Doctor who is knowledgeable and listens. My whole family goes to him and I have referred friends and they feel the same. He is very knowledgeable about many medical things. Bedside manner is A++ It is obvious he like what he does and is good at it.
