Dr. Kurd was amazing! So many friends & coworkers recommended him & now I know why. He is personable, has a great sense of humor & explains everything in lay people’s terms. He fit me in before his family vacation & even made a point of checking in on me the day after my surgery (Saturday) at 6am on his way to the airport. He went above & beyond and I would highly recommend him.
I went to Dr. Kurd with a severely herniated disc and spinal stenosis. I chose Dr. Kurd and Rothman Institute after much research. I could not be happier with the result. My pain relief was immediate. Two weeks out from my Laminectomy and Discectomy, I am back to work and continue to improve everyday.
I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Kurd. Went to him because I was having low back/hip/leg pain. He said it was definitely not my hip that was causing the problem and told me I needed a spinal fusion. I asked him if I should get a hip injection to confirm that it was not the hip causing the pain. He said not necessary. Unconvinced, I went to Laser Spine and they did a deep nerve root block to confirm where the pain was coming from. They said definitely the hip. Dr Kurd performed a very complicated 8 hour spinal fusion procedure on me in February, 2019. The surgery was successful and now 6 weeks on my back feels better each day. Dr. Kurd is a wonderful surgeon and a consummate professional. Rothman is lucky to have him !!
My husband was not able to stand up straight. When we saw Dr Kurd, my husband was literally on the floor crawling. I helped him be seen.and checked by Carmine, Dr Kurd 's PA. Dr Kurd knew exactly what was wrong. He explained everything, but thought my husband could try Steroid shots administered by another great Dr from the Rothman Institute. He was honest & caring & wanted my husband to try something non invasive first. As far as we are concerned, Dr Kurd is one of the BEST. VERY SMART & KIND

Dr. Kurd is Amazing. I had a lot of fears about getting my C-5 thru C-7 fused together. I need my mobility as I am a Historic Preservation Specialist, I climb on roofs, in buildings, and hang from the side of structures to finish siding. When I brought up my concerns, he took the time to explain to me all of the steps to the procedure as well as the success rate and the complications that can be felt after the surgery, from it while healing.
