The worse decision in my life was having Dr. Kurd perform a spinal fusion from L-4 to S-1 @ Jefferson Hospital. If I could write a review with zero stars, I would. My surgery was only to take 3hrs, I was then woke up almost 8hrs later. They then kept me hospitalized for 3 additional days when I was told I would go home the next day. A week after my surgery I had a bad spinal fluid leak and had to lie flat for 36hrs. He ended up installing the hardware with my back misaligned and now have lumbar scoliosis. Dr. Kurd did an outstanding job on my spinal surgery - and 6 weeks after my surgery I am feeling great ! For my case, MRI showed a L3/L4 facet cyst pressing against the spine. PT didn't help. Same for cortizone injection. I needed surgery. After doing some research, I wanted a surgeon who specialized in minimally invasive spinal procedures. I will review AFTER surgery. I was at Jefferson yesterday for preop. They are wonderful! I feel confident Dr. Kurd will be great. They say he is top notch!
I had back surgery 2years ago. I had basically given up hope of a normal pain free life until I went to Dr. Kurd. He is the absolute best! I now live a normal active life pain free. I highly recommend him!

He was the 3rd doctor I saw about my neck pain and after alternative treatments I knew it was time for surgery. Dr. Kurd was the only specialist that answered all of my questions. Had a very positive experience before and after surgery. Happy with my decision.
Doctor Kurd was very thorough with me & walked me through the entire process as we went. Highly recommend him for back & or spine issues.
Dr.Kurd listens to your concerns, has a great bedside manner, explains in laymen terms what his findings are and what needs to be done to fix the problem. I would definitely reccomend Dr Kurd
I saw Dr Kurd for an ACDF procedure April 2018. He was kind, caring, skilled and he listened to my needs and feelings. A perfect surgeon!! Skilled with empathy and personality??
