Dr. Lazarus is phenomenal, caring compassionate Dr. Lazarus took me fixed when no one would or could No Dr but Dr.Lazarus will ever work on my shoulders or Elbows.. Love this guy!! Please tell the GREAT ONE.....hello for me....
Dr. Lazarus saved my shoulder when i had a complicated joint fracture 3 years ago. He was sensitive and listened well to my concerns. He is a gifted surgeon. He was firm about my responsibilities during rehab and now I have almost complete range of motion.
No compassion, insensitive does not listen to the patient. He is rude and arrogant ...I did not want to treat with him and didn’t ..

THIS IS ONE ARROGANT, NARCISSISTIC DOCTOR I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. HE HAS NO EMPATHY FOR HIS PATIENTS WHAT SO EVER. ONCE HE HAS YOU UNDER THE KNIFE AND THE OPERATION DID NOT GO WELL HE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. MY MOTHER HAS BEEN SUFFERING NOW FOR ONE YEAR (1) AND ALL HE SAYS IS O WELL. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANY BODY BUT THIS GUY HE IS COCKY, SELF CENTERED, AND HAS NO BED SIDE MANNERS. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM HIM.

Dr. Lazarus repaired by badly torn rotator cuff. The surgery and recovery went exactly as he said they would. I could not be more pleased. Highly recommended!
Bottom line. I had three tears, rotator cuff, labrum and bicep. Surgery exceeded my expectations. Tear was substantial, No major pain. Did exactly what Dr, Lazarus told me to do in terms of rehab. Surgery was Jan 8, 2014 and I am already doing yard work and starting strength training. You have to be patient and follow his regimen but worth it. I feel great and would go back to Dr. Lazarus without question. I read some reviews saying he had a tough bedside manner. Guess what, do you want a wimpy doctor? He was polite and stra... read more
Dr. Lazarus repaired my right shoulder back in 2010. He was excellent with me, and 3 years later I have not had any issues out of the norm. After separating my shoulder for 10 years, and not having had any re occurrences has made me appreciate everything Dr. Lazarus has done. Now my other shoulder is in need of arthroscopic surgery, and I am hoping to have Dr. Lazarus perform the surgery.
I had a total rotator cuff tear in 5/08. I was referred to Dr lazarus by a local OD. I never did a Dr rating but I felt I needed to be fair and give Dr L his rightful due. Dr Lazarus is an excellent technician (compliment). My shoulder/rotator cuff took him 3 hours the avg is 45 minutes. Now some 3 years later the cuff/shoulder is in excellent shape. Lost a bit of flex but I work out/gym and am very active but I was also a good patient and followed up with PT and in-home exercises. My only suggestion is expect/demand/require... read more
Polite, but business-like bedside manner. I would NOT call him arrogant, though. He is nice, along with the BC surgical staff & I felt they all did a good job IMO. I'm shocked to see all the bad reviews. I have NO complaints. BTW, what surgical experience is a joy?
Mark D Lazarus, MD has a 4.7 star rating with 133 reviews.
